Show Your Talent With Recordings And Don’t Compromise

A recording of your music is supposed to be the best representation of your talents – better even than your live shows. Your recordings are going to be the things that people listen to over and over again, getting your tunes stuck in their heads. Your recorded music is your best advertisement and sales tool. Sure, you can sing covers, but if you really know your material, you can make a great original song or backing track for a cover song. You may even be able to hook up with other musicians and work out a cover version of your own.

Making A Recording

Over the years, some of the budding talents have been discovered in far-off places. Maybe they’ve been playing at the local karaoke club or not for very long but something just clicked. They made a recording and link it to your name and brand! Now they are getting all that attention from record labels and all the excitement of touring and gigging. A live recording of your show is also fairly effective if you can do something with it besides singing. Maybe you can add blurred vocals or background music and build a song or concept around what you all do. Maybe you each have a distinct lead or solo that works well. Having an audio/videotape of your band working together is staggering. You can download it, upload it and post it on your website and add page views. It’s the direct opposite of the before said exercise where you blurred your vocals and added page views. This is the most Portable you can get with your online efforts. The same pages could get sent around to blogs, press, and radio. Blogs can be a good way to get your music in front of a lot of people from a fairly small following. The main concept is to drive people to your site where they can buy from you.

Music

You are the speaker of your own desires. You have the ear of your music. You see what you want to hear. You hear what you want to hear. Think of how you want it to sound and then write it down. You are the sum of your musical experiences. Wrap your head around “getting together” musical ideas. I have found that it is best to have an idea of what you want to play. Then introduce the idea in the form of a musical imperative. By organizing the musical ideas into understandable components. Usually, the order of musical attributes is as follows: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 1.

2. Musical Goals: At the beginning of making your page, state your musical goals. I have found that you don’t have to re-invent the wheel every time you write. Use the example of “I want to try out some new chords.” As you write, make sure that you are staying with the musical goal of the page. The more specific the goal, the more amenable the musical process will be.

3. Music Styles: Try to understand as many musical styles as possible. I have found that classical music tends to work well for personal instrumental dance music, and the blues is a great place to start. That’s just a few off the top of my head. Modern popular music can be really enjoyable to play and listen to. I enjoy listening to modern pop, R & B, dance music, and lots of types of hip hop. Hip hop has always been my favorite of all genres. Just make sure that you understand the terminology. We’re attempting to communicate with one another through our music so that we may communicate with others in a musical manner.

4. Jump ahead: When you are still developing your musical ideas, don’t try to write a whole song right away. However, once you have the first couple of lines down, try writing additional lines. The more you can get into each individual section, the better the song will be.

5. Look for inspire: Ideas are everywhere. When you are trying to write, make sure that you have ways in which you can receive inspiration. This can be in conversations, movies, books, etc. Start by looking at the lyrics and decide what you would like to express in your music. The more detail, the better!
